Fully promote the construction of infrastructure and conditions for the central repository, establish a standardized system for the preservation of human genetic resources, a quality control system, an information management system for biobanks, and a regional platform for the open sharing of human genetic resources.

We have comprehensively improved and enhanced the preservation conditions and capabilities of the central human genetic resource repository, successfully obtaining approval as a regional center for the National Human Genetic Resource Sample Bank. We are exploring the establishment of a sub-library within the Wuhan National Sample Bank, and have preliminarily achieved effective integration and interconnectivity of regional human genetic resource information. We have also completed the baseline survey of a large-scale natural population cohort in the district.

Strengthen our capacity to drive radiative effects, remain rooted in Hubei Province, and fully integrate the superior clinical resources of the central region to comprehensively support the construction of the National Network for the Preservation and Utilization of Human Genetic Resources. Upholding the vision of “Assuming National Missions, Serving the Local Economy, and Promoting Industrial Development,” we will comprehensively enhance our technological innovation capabilities, with a particular focus on forward-looking innovative technologies and the R&D of common technologies. We will wholeheartedly serve industrial development and strive to become a benchmark and model for third-party human genetic resource biobanks.
