Wuhan National Human Genetic Resources Biobank (hereinafter referred to as the "Biobank") As a key "Life and Health Industry Innovation Platform" jointly established by Hubei Province, Wuhan City, and the East Lake High-tech Development Zone, the Biobank is a comprehensive, application-oriented human genetic resources repository. It is dedicated to leveraging multi-channel, multi-category samples and large-scale multi-modal data to promote open sharing and clinical translation. Adhering to the principles of "no raw samples leaving the repository, no raw data leaving the domain, data availability without visibility, and data controllability with measurability," the Biobank aligns with international advanced standards under its "quality-first" service philosophy. Focusing on major diseases and rare disorders such as malignant tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, neurological diseases, immune disorders, and metabolic diseases, it provides full-lifecycle R&D services encompassing basic research, translational development, testing, and validation. The Biobank delivers efficient, convenient, and scenario-adaptive integrated solutions for human genetic resource utilization, driving innovation through data and creating value through sharing. Its mission is to promote the lawful, compliant, and high-quality sharing and transformation of human genetic resources while supporting the innovative development of China’s biopharmaceutical industry.

By integrating rich clinical sample resources, multi-dimensional medical data, and multi-omics detection technologies, the Biobank has established a comprehensive R&D service support system spanning the entire innovation chain. It rapidly matches sample resources according to client-defined inclusion/exclusion criteria and provides end-to-end project solutions—from sample collection, ethical approval, quality management, and characterization to data analysis—to offer new theoretical foundations for innovative drug development, early disease diagnosis, personalized treatment, and medication guidance. This maximizes cost efficiency and shortens R&D cycles for clients.
