The multi-omics science research platform could accelerate the conversion of science achievements.

The PI’s working laboratory is project-oriented and focuses on major diseases (such as malignant tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, neurological disorders, and genetic rare diseases). Targeting self-reliant, innovative research teams, it not only provides a platform for the integration of industry, academia, and research but also ensures that outstanding talents returning to China can immediately begin their research work.

The Third Party Medical Laboratory

The layout of the third party medical laboratory of Wuhan National Human Genetic Resources Library will be guided by clinical application, focusing on the risk assessment, prediction and early warning, early screening, classification and other aspects of major diseases. On the one hand, it will be an important part of the access of the sample library to the medical system, on the other hand, it will also be the basis for achieving sustainable development. The planned testing projects of the third party medical laboratory will focus on genetic diagnosis, drug screening and other characteristic projects, such as genetic disease screening (newborn/carrier screening, deafness gene screening, etc.), pharmacogenomics (cardiovascular drugs, safe drug use for children, psychotropic drugs, etc.) Solid tumor and liquid biopsy (solid tumor mutation detection, liquid biopsy, methylation analysis, hormone detection, etc.) and health management (obesity, etc.). In the future, the third party medical laboratory of the sample library will build a series of classified application technology platforms for biomedical big data reference consultation, analysis and judgment, rapid calculation and accurate decision-making for the whole process of precision medicine application, build a demonstration, application and promotion system of precision medicine clinical programs for typical diseases of Chinese people, and promote a number of precision treatment drugs and molecular detection technology products to enter the national medical insurance catalog, To provide scientific and technological support for significantly improving the health level of the population, reducing ineffective and excessive medical treatment, and avoiding harmful medical treatment.
