Project introduction This cohort is the first to establish a telomere length cohort for healthy people in China. Through questionnaire survey, physical examination, laboratory examination and biological specimen collection, a large database and biological specimen database of 20000 people have been established, and more than 6000 of them have been genome sequenced to analyze the impact of biological age, living environment, lifestyle and style, occupational characteristics, gene mutation and gene expression on telomere length. Fill in the gap of domestic telomere queue and provide a reliable basis for the formulation of relevant policies on health services for this population.
The main purpose is to establish a data platform for risk assessment, prediction and early warning of telomere length.
Study Design An open prospective cohort study of adult population.
The sample enrollment criteria are set as follows: age 20-60; Is the on-the-job employee of the investigation unit; No registered disease; Able to communicate normally; Volunteer to participate in the project and sign the informed consent form.
The population characteristics come from the in-service physical examination population in Tianjin.
Number of people completed/target number 24000/60000.
The starting and ending years and the follow-up interval are March 2018; Follow up once a year.
Questionnaire content 1) general demographic information; 2) Socioeconomic characteristics; 3) Disease history; 4) Lifestyle characteristics; 5) Environmental exposure; 6) Anxiety and depression.
Laboratory test items include blood routine test, urine routine test, complete set of blood lipids, fasting blood glucose, etc.
15 ml of peripheral venous blood was collected from biological samples.
The main results have completed baseline data collection and 4 years follow-up for more than 24000 people. The largest telomere length population database in China has been formed.
