On May 19, Shu Hongbing, an academician of the CAS Member and president of the Medical Research Institute of Wuhan University, arrived as president of Wuhan Biotechnology Research Institute, committed to promoting the Institute to build a national innovation platform. Han Jin, secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, Zhao Xuemei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, and Zhu Deyou, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and head of the Organization Department, attended the appointment of academician Shu Hongbing. Wuhan Biotechnology Research Institute is the first new industrial technology research institute in Hubei, led by Wuhan University, integrating the scientific and technological resources in the biological field of universities and institutes in Wuhan, and established in the East Lake High-tech Zone. It has become an important carrier for undertaking major national scientific and technological tasks and an important platform for the integration of scientific and technological innovation resources in the biological field of provinces and cities. According to the relevant provisions of the Administrative Measures for the Identification of High-tech Enterprises (GKFH [2016] No. 32) and the Guidelines for the Identification and Management of High-tech Enterprises (GKFH [2016] No. 195), the National Leading Community Office for the Identification and Management of High-tech Enterprises issued the "Notice on the Filing and Publicity of the Fifth Batch of High-tech Enterprises Identified by the Hubei Provincial Accreditation Agency in 2022", Wuhan Biological Sample Bank Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wuhan Sample Bank") is recognized as a high-tech enterprise. High-tech enterprises refer to resident enterprises that have been registered in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) for more than one year by continuously carrying out research and development and transformation of technological achievements, forming core independent intellectual property rights of enterprises, and carrying out business activities on this basis within the "High-tech Fields Supported by the State". 1、 Wuhan sample library was approved by Wuhan Enterprise R&D Center On November 11, 2022, Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology issued the Notice on Publishing the First Batch of Wuhan Enterprise Research and Development Center Filing List in 2022 (WK [2022] No. 98), and the enterprise research and development center of Wuhan Biological Sample Bank Co., Ltd. was recognized at the municipal level. Wuhan Enterprise Research and Development Center (hereinafter referred to as "R&D Center") is a relatively independent scientific and technological research and development specialized organization established within the enterprise, mainly engaged in the research and development of new technologies, new products, new processes and new materials, and promoting the industrialization and application of scientific and technological achievements. Such enterprises have the characteristics of "specialized, refined, special and new".
